I've stayed at Hotel Manisses, an updated boutique hotel, and had brunch at the 1661 Inn, where they also have cozy accommodations. Both were wonderful and an easy walk from town.

Mansion Beach was first home to a real-life mansion, Edward F. Searles' mansion, the Block Island Tourism Council website said. The Searles mansion burned down in the 1960's; the beach remains.

Crescent Beach is also in town, across the street from The National Hotel, one of the premier hotels in Old Harbor. Take a stroll down Water Street and do some shopping at local businesses as well.
