The vehicle hit a crowd outside a club on Santa Monica Boulevard early Saturday morning, and it appears to have been intentional, according to the LAPD.

The driver was later found to have been shot, according to police, who were searching for a suspected gunman who fled the scene along Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood.

The driver, who had been fighting with people inside a music venue, was shot after driving into a group of people on the sidewalk, the LAPD said.
