Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee entered the state's 2026 gubernatorial race on Wednesday, setting up a challenge against GOP Representative John Rose, who announced his candidacy earlier this year.

A conservative Trump ally in the Senate, Ms. Blackburn will now try to become the first woman to serve as governor.
