Woman dies, 5 injured after sledding accident in Suffolk, police say
Mandy Bartholomew, public information officer for the Suffolk Police Department, confirmed to The Pilot that the sled was being pulled by a UTV when the crash happened. Four adults and two kids were taken to local hospitals with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. A woman died from her injuries at the hospital, police said.
The school was placed on lockdown during the incident. No injuries were reported, and there was no ongoing threat, police said.
