An amber storm warning, covering much of mainland Scotland and the western islands, is now in force until 22:00.

The SQA has confirmed that students across Scotland could face longer waits for their exam results amid “widespread disruption” caused by Storm Floris. Deliveries to pupils in the Outer Hebrides, Orkney, and Shetland will be delayed due to the “adverse weather”. Delays to the delivery of results in other areas may occur at short notice.
