Over 90 "No Kings" protests were taking place Saturday, June 14, across New York state as millions across the country are expected to take part in a "nationwide day of defiance."

The parade, honoring the Army’s long-planned 250th anniversary celebration and coinciding with Trump’s 79th birthday, is set to step off from the Lincoln Memorial under the threat of stormy weather in Washington and protests around the country tied to a turbulent week of immigration enforcement that has involved military deployment in Los Angeles.

The parade is expected to include about 6,600 soldiers, 50 helicopters and 60-ton M1 Abrams battle tanks, as well as possibly 200,000 attendees and heightened security to match.

The demonstrations are gaining additional fuel from protests flaring up over federal immigration enforcement raids.

An estimated 1,600 people lined Cedar Crest Boulevard in Salisbury Township Saturday afternoon as part of a series of “No Kings” demonstrations planned across the Lehigh Valley and the country to coincide with President Donald Trump’s military parade in Washington.

In the Greater Boston area, thousands of “No Kings” marches and rallies are taking place, part of major demonstrations planned across the country.

Anti-Trump protests are planned for Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, Gettysburg and thousands of other places throughout central Pennsylvania and the nation.

The “day of defiance” protests begin as early as 10 a.m. in North Texas, while the Washington, D.C., military parade for the Army’s 250th birthday starts at 5:30 p.m. Central.

The "No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance" is planned to "reject corrupt, authoritarian politics in the United States," organizers say.
