The Cam Ward controversy remained fresh in college football’s consciousness Monday morning when Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer attempted to assuage the concerns of his fan base. He expects Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe to play the whole game — not half of one — in Tuesday afternoon’s ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan (7-5).

Alabama football isn’t expected to be impacted much, if at all, by opt outs for the ReliaQuest Bowl. And Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer didn’t indicate that quarterback Jalen Milroe or other notable players will only play part of the game.
