A voter turnout of 6113 pc was registered in the first phase polling in Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls which were held on 24 constituencies in seven distric

Jammu and Kashmir recorded a 41.17% voter turnout by 1 pm in the first phase of polling. An incident in Kishtwar temporarily halted voting, later resumed. BJP and National Conference candidates expressed confidence in their parties' success.

The Inderwal Assembly constituency recorded a turnout of 82.16 percent, the highest in the first phase followed by Padder-Nagseni at 80.67 percent.
