Perhaps the single most lovable little dude in video game history (he's flawless and I won't hear otherwise) is speeding onto Switch 2 in November with Kirby Air Riders, a surprising follow-up to a cult classic Nintendo GameCube game from 20 years ago.

Nintendo has wrapped up its Direct presentation for Kirby Air Riders and has subsequently revealed the official box art for the title on Switch 2.

The Kirby Air Riders Direct will stream live on Aug. 19, starting at 9 a.m. EDT/6 a.m. PDT. Though its 45-minute length may seem unusual, it's because game director Masahiro Sakurai himself will be present to give Kirby fans an in-depth clinic on what Air Riders is bringing to the table, gameplay-wise.

Nintendo has a big roster of iconic characters, and Kirby is sometimes a bit of an afterthought. However, some of the best Nintendo games have involved Kirby. Kirby and the Forgotten Land came out in 2022 and was met with widespread acclaim,
