King County Metro, community members and transit agencies will gather Jan. 10 to remember Shawn Yim, a bus driver tragically killed in December while on duty.

King County Metro has said to expect bus cancellations on Friday, January 10, as the community gathers to honor driver Shawn Yim.

Memorial services for Shawn Yim will be held on Friday. Yim, a King County Metro bus driver, was stabbed to death while on the job on December 18.

The 10 a.m. procession will be followed by a memorial service at WAMU Theater, by Lumen Field. Yim was stabbed last month by a bus rider in the U District.

On Friday at 10 a.m. a bus procession will make its way through downtown. It will begin at the Central Base Area on 6th Avenue, travel up 4th Avenue, turn onto Denny Way, then 2nd Avenue, and end at the Lumen Field Event Center, located at 800 Occidental Avenue South.
