Fans of Minecraft will recognize a few of the game’s elements in this scene from “A Minecraft Movie.” But the sequence is also a good comic excuse to stuff Jack Black and Jason Momoa into a mine cart together.

First, “Minecraft” is the best-selling game in history with millions of fans that won’t be looking to pick apart the cinematography or storyline. Seeing Jack Black and Jason Momoa bringing humor to a world they adore is enough, according to Forbes.

Warner Bros' take on Mojang Studios' universally popular Minecraft sandbox video game benefitted from the use of other forms of technology, though. There was one particular piece of virtual reality (VR) tech that Hess says he "couldn't handle", too, because of how nauseating it felt.

Mark Kennedy of the AP gives the movie 2.5 stars out of 4, saying Jason Momoa shines in the comedic role and that the world is “like Lego only on shrooms.” Fans will likely appreciate how faithful the film is to the game but newcomers to the franchise may get a little lost. Kennedy writes:
