The eight-team Champions Trophy is being held in Pakistan but India will play all its matches in Dubai owing to security concerns

The renovation work going on at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium has reached the final stages with only the finishing touches left.

They have more than once quashed speculation that construction delays could see the tournament moved to the UAE. A fortnight ago, the board felt confident enough that work at each venue was on track to announce that a tri-series before the Champions Trophy - originally scheduled for Multan - would take place in Lahore and Karachi, instead.

The ICC and PCB are yet to confirm if Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, would be travelling to Lahore for the events

Gaddafi Stadium will first host a tri-nation series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa, followed by the Champions Trophy, starting February 19. The first match of the 2025 Champions Trophy at Gaddafi Stadium will be played between England and Australia on February 22.
