According to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Freeman had a “mishap” in the shower over the weekend and re-injured the ankle he had surgery on over the winter.

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman was out of the lineup Monday night against the Atlanta Braves after slipping in the shower and hurting his surgically repaired right ankle. “He had a little mishap entering the shower,” manager Dave Roberts said. “Kind of swelled up a little bit.”

Manager Dave Roberts told reporters the veteran slipped and injured the ankle in the shower and is considered day-to-day. He also said it was a "mishap" that resulted in Freeman tweaking his right ankle that was previously surgically repaired.
