The dollar found its footing on Tuesday as traders weighed whether rising odds of Federal Reserve rate cuts would support risk appetite and offset the broader economic impact of U.S. tariffs unleashed last week.

U.S. stock futures rose, the dollar was steady and two- and 10-year Treasury yields edged higher as Trump moves to make some key hires at the Fed and Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The dollar remained under pressure in the wake of Friday's worse-than-expected U.S. nonfarm payrolls data. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the U.S. added 73,000 jobs in July, well below expectations.
