In the few days since he returned to the White House, President Donald Trump’s sweeping executive orders and mass pardons have shattered political and legal norms. But one order is in a category of its own.

A federal judge blocked United States President Donald Trump’s executive order which denies US citizenship to children of parents living in the country illegally, calling it “blatantly unconstitutional” during the initial hearing of a multi-state effort challenging the order.

The Trump administration is "twisting itself in knots" in trying to limit birthright citizenship and focus on deportations, argues New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin.
