Australia’s Matthew Kuhnemann has been reported for suspect bowling action during the team’s away Test series against Sri Lanka. Kuhnemann had topped the wicket-takers’ charts in the two-match series with 16 scalps.

Left-armer Kuhnemann, who took 16 wickets as Steve Smith's men swept the two-Test series this month, will have to undertake mandatory testing to determine whether his action is legal.

Australian media reported Wednesday that Kuhnemann has been referred to the International Cricket Council and faces a ban if his bowling action is deemed to be beyond the the limit for the degree of arm flexion permitted.
