The New York Yankees tied Major League Baseball's all-time record for the most home runs hit through a team's first three games of a season on Sunday, launching four more home runs against the Milwaukee Brewers (GameTracker) to bring their seasonal total to 15.

The all-time record for homers hit in a single game (since 1901) is 10—set by the Toronto Blue Jays in an 18–3 win on Sept. 14, 1987. Ernie Whitt blasted three dingers himself that game, and teammates Rance Mulliniks and George Bell knocked two bombs apiece.

The bats shaped like bowling pins at the end have baseball buzzing after they were used by Yankees players who contributed to a barrage of 15 home runs in the first three games.
