My husband and I had such a great time on a tour with Scott. We started out at the tour shop in Ballard where we were fitted to our bikes. We were both offered gel seat pads, which made for a comfort…Full review by IntvLori

Q:
Hi - is it possible to stay in a SB downtown Hotel and then cycle from that Hotel to several wineries in a day for tastings and nibbles? We are not huge cyclists but it is great fun when cycling between wineries for tastings - we do same in Niagara and Napa but want to know if the same is available in SB. Normally we cycle from 2k to 5k to the first winery and then about 2 to 4k to each of 3 others we might visit in a day. We (clearly) do not yet have any idea of the proximity of the wineries to SB itself or their proximity to one another. OR should we / could we book a nice 4 or 5* Hotel in middle of the wineries themselves and do the same from there? thank you

I would stay up in the wine country where our bike shop is located. Try the Santa Ynez Inn or the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn. That is where we stay for our deluxe cycling packages. Our tours include a gourmet lunch and one winetasting at a vineyard for $170/person. If you want to do a private tour an make many stops that would be $200/person. The other option is to rent bikes from us a we can plan you a self guided tour from our shop with plenty of recommendations where to taste. Give us a call at (888)557-8687 to dicuss further.
