Freehold Raceway was a half-mile harness racetrack in Freehold, New Jersey. At the time of its closure in December 2024, it was the oldest racetrack in the United States. Horse races have been taking place at Freehold Raceway since the 1830s. The Monmouth County Agricultural Society was formed on December 17, 1853, and in 1854 they began holding an annual fair at Freehold Raceway with harness racing.
